Alive Like the Ocean

Killing time, killing destiny.
Ripples wrought in horrors.
Parted gates, oh rotten whores
steam and whistle into view.
With open mouths that suck malcontent
back into being, leaving my good side
left to die in the dark.

I am one of the cheerful deeds,
I really am.
Love yourself with more affection.
But just a mind's flash in the hurricane
between disparate planets.
Venus and Mars like temples on either side
of my headpiece.
No reason to bunker down though,
as the wave is natural.
The pendulum tide is peaceful.

We are everything that we adore.
Throbbing, energetic temples.
